Dean killed the woman so the Sarge wouldn't have to. He decided it was better to her blood be on his hands. And the kid was a demon, so Dean was kind of right. Though I get how this episode could have people worried about him

2021-06-15 03:41:30 +0000 UTCOh boy. This is a really good episode and I loved your reactions! lol This was the mid season finale, and so that ending scene was totally evil! Waiting several weeks for the next episode was total torture. So good! I tend to trust Dean's instincts on things, but this season he's been going through things and who knows why he's doing some of what he's doing. Well, losing John likely has a lot to do with things. It's just him and Sam now. Plus what he said at the end of a previous episode. Makes my heart hurt a bit. I was worried about him though. How he was acting in this episode. I felt like you, but not quite as worried. I figured that the virus was changing people so much and it was so infections, that it was too risky to wait and try to find a cure. Kind of like one of those virus apocalypse movies. I thought that Dean was just resigning himself to doing what needed to be done, no matter how distasteful. And that's sad. I don't think it's really his nature to be so ruthless. I was missing my season 1 Dean. And him trying to joke and such made it even more sad. One thing that some people get confused over is the blood samples being clean at the end. The blond kid who turned out to be a demon, he cleaned up all the evidence. So he likely switched the blood samples, or used magic or something. The virus didn't go away. The infected people just disapeared. The Croatoan thing intrigued me because I remembered growing up hearing about the Roanoak colony a lot.
