Beginner Voice Workshop

Hi everyone! Last month we had a beginner voice workshop in which we focused on the "first steps" of going to alter the voice. The goal was to speak directly to individuals who are just now getting started and give a longer form resource that illustrates key perspectives and actions to take when get started.

The goal was to be short and succinct but we ended up having a ton of fun and going way longer than intended. I'm going to be releasing a much shorter but higher production YouTube video covering this same topic soon which will be a supplement to these kind of "beginner" focused resources.

This video has been divided into 3 parts:

1) Getting Started - Mentality & Early Road Blocks

2) Taking Action - Vocal Exploration & First Steps

3) Conclusion

Throughout the course of the video I also work with 5 beginners of the community  and explore the very first steps together. So let's all give them a round of applause for being awesome vocal explorers and allowing us as a group to learn from their actions!

I was hoping to edit this down even more but I want to shift my focus on the follow up video to this topic because I already filmed it and have a great idea for it! <3

warmly,

Ping ponging is great exercise that can build core fundamentals. I'd recommend doing it for a few with breaks between. The goal should always be to make it increasingly more comfortable and easy to do. Always try to optimize the cleanliness, smoothness, and balance of it. If we always work towards making it smoother and more controlled, we are always making progress! :)

How long should you practice pingponging?
