Eurybia - String Orchestra Work in Just Intonation

Hi everyone. <3

I've been a bit silent the last month. I traveled and had a surgery. I was recovering for most of November but now I'm regaining balance and consistency again. I wanted to make voice content in the last two weeks (I have something almost done but needs edited) but my heart has been in dire urge of musical expression. The arrival of winter has been challenging for me emotionally and mentally. Around this time I always feel somewhat depressed. This piece allowed me to unburden myself from a lot of that weight.

I sincerely want to thank you all for supporting me. I hope this piece can touch you as it touched me. I believe this is the clearest line of self expression I've ever made aside from an improvisation or something. 12:23 is literally exactly how I felt one dark evening.

This piece further utilizes the just intonation scales I have been creating and exploring.

"I found Eurybia. My heart moved like the ocean. Swallowed by the sea, it's easy to feel as if I'm drowning. It feels like floating. It feels like sinking. I do not wish to end up under the depths of this ocean, lost inside the void. I see dancing rays of light piercing sharply underneath the surface. A space unknown, it's easy to be fearful. A space of chaos, things are out of control. A wave of order, momentary as it was, provides a bounty of lessons. Above all, I found beauty. Beyond all, I am better than I was before. What else can I wish for? A gift to treasure. A thing to express."
