If you’re looking for new YouTubers that do creative stuff, check out Joshua Weissman and Zack Freedman. I love those guys. Josh makes food and Zack makes 3D printer things. Food and tech— what’s not to love?? Plus, I think they are hilarious. About the phony thing: I think everybody of every stage of life development is just winging it and learning as they go. Everybody is just playing it fast n’ loose. Anybody who thinks they or anybody else has it all figured out is a silly fool!

not sure how, but at one point I hovered my mouse cursor and i'm a fraud was there lol...anywho, love the content always!

You are not a fraud, none of us have it all figured out, it just makes you human and real. Your personality and awareness have a comfy and real vibe, its why I like you so much! I’m doing my best with those realizations too, and trying to just “be”, experience the ride and still put in my efforts but with less overthinking and expectations. We got this! As far as YouTube, I watch you and my favorite bands, so just there for the music. I agree most YouTube is reacting to things on the internet, and it can get bland, though some do it better with more comedy and creativity. My husband recently watched the hammer-piano guy make guitar strings from spider webs, lol, I didn’t check it out though. Anyhow, hope your week is going well! You look good, handsome Swede!😊

I have to remain humble in my career because if I get too cocky and don’t check myself, I could kill somebody.

Very smart move from u to take time to think what u want in life, I'm happy that u were able to do that 😊 I have wanted to do that couple years now.. never seems to be a good time or enough energy for it... Thanks for sharing, once again really interesting topic that actually had me write almost two A4 size notebook pages of thoughts about this, but yeah who cares 😅 so don't worry I won't bore people with all of it in this comment 🤪 I guess there's so much content nowadays, that many people want only fast, easy and ready-chewed stuff, which is a little sad. I would like to watch more creative stuff too on YT. I don't know if people stubbornly would just make more creative stuff, that would it eventually trend up... don't know. But there's value in your commentary videos too, so I hope u know that. It would be nice to just do things that make u happy and love oneself (feel like u are enough) and not let likes/comments/views/followers to impact on self worth, but I think it's natural for people to want to be liked or their work to be valued and it's hard to not feel the sting when being ignored on purpose or getting nasty comments etc.

Honestly...I don't watch YouTube! I migh watch a tutorial if I need help with something round the house (single girl problems!) I found your channel through my daughter and was hooked but as for the other stuff she watches...🥴 It's mostly 'Family YouTubers' where they pump out a load of kids and exploit the hell out of them or spend obscene amounts of money in Sephora and do ridiculous 'challenges' and fake reaction vids, YT has become a strange and scary place! As fir being a fraud... Meh, we're all just guessing how to do life at this point, one day at a time mate, one day at a time... x

Thank you for another honest talk. I'm not on YouTube a lot because of the reasons you mentioned. I watch tutorials, and besides that, I watched a few channels where creativity was combined with strong storytelling (but not musical, like Valerie Lin or Kurzgesagt). I think this is partly why I loved the songwriting video and the 100 Mics one so much (it was a journey with those mics). Maybe it could really be about marketing.. it's quality, fun content, I believe there could be an audience for it. But even just seeing the process of writing songs is really exciting because I get "active" and feel like participating, like in the IKEA song stream 😊 I also love the "effectiveness" of when it's maybe what you would do anyway, but only share it (which I also find the hardest to do). The mean comments in general, I think they just feel that this way they could get attention. But I love the concept of taking something negative (or positive, an experience) and transforming it into something great (like you did with that song), that was really awesome. I'm not that great at keeping my attention, but it's easy watching your videos, I think it's partly because the way you think is "novel," that you don't take things as they are. So even when you speak on a subject, it's interesting and creative (even unexpected). I feel imposter syndrom when I create something, but perfection doesn't exist, and it's just fun to create for the sake of it

Are you still going to finish the song people voted for? I love that song. If you're a fraud, so am i x

I think a lot of people turn to random people for validation because they don't get it from other places in their lives. A lot of us grew up with parents that were not supportive and very disfunctional family situations. In that case you either turn to strangers or shut down. I've spent most of my life shut down. I don't care about anything. I am just realizing how bad it is. Chatting here helps.

I so agree with you there. I'm 42 and i haven't figured things out still. Thanks for talking with us bro.

Magalie Leplus

I definitely want to share more, I’ll just sprinkle it in a little bit more with other content!

Joel Berghult

I like the real talk videos you are making. The advice to have friends outside of work, is something I have been realising the last few months. Colleagues are on the same level about some stuff, but they also can be in a different stage of life. Like they have kids (I haven't) and are renovating the house they bought (I'm renting)

Annelies

Happy haircut! Good musings. Yes, you cannot equate likes on the internet with people personally liking you. They are totally separate and too many people other than creators have that as their self worth. It is sad.

Cas

Well, that video that you took down bc you thought it wasn't "popular" enough, and it was too self indulgent? That made me become a patron! I just think you are enormously talented, I loved all three of those songs, and I hope you will not stop being a creator, and sharing any of that process with us. Please?

Valerie Tisdel

I agree with you that there few people who create or make things on Youtube. I do subscribe to Jazza's channel because I enjoy art and drawing. I have always enjoyed watching your videos and learning about music. ❤👍

Most of us wing it, they're aren't many people who know from a young age what they want to do in life I feel that school/college/university doesn't really set you up for life in adulthood so you just wander aimlessly through life falling into things! I think I've said before, You Tube is cyclical, it refreshes with every next generation coming through. Unfortunately this generation have the attention span of a gnat and if a video content is more than 8 mins they disengage. My subscriptions are massively varied but you are right they are few people "making" or creating, there's the Science guy with his Amazon box who's tapped into the children's genre of science and technology and I think Jezza is doing the same type of thing with Art. I've watched you for a long time so I understand your thoughts process, your humour etc.. and I've always found your videos engaging. But growing old with you means I don't meet the social demographic for You Tube content these days!

Clair (Teampanda)

That's why I always say I have no idea what I'm doing lol But thnks to share this. 2022 was a year in which I was feeling really down , Lost and sad. But thank God (and some of my decisions lmao) things have changed and gotten better. Do I know what I'm doing? No. But I'm happier. I believe this is the objective, right? Be happy. Anyways Count on us for whatever you need. Cause you are a honest person, this keeps us here :) Have a great week

Jess Haggstron

I never know what I’m doing… I’m always winging it. You be safe as well, Joel

Angela Lee

If adults have it all figured out, then I must've missed the memo. I'm 36, and still feel like my life isn't figured out. Probably never will be.
