EMA Monthly Livestream Replay: SERPENT MEDICINE

The symbol of the snake, the serpent, is an enduring one of change, shedding, dissolution, and evolution.

Snakes are revered as gods in various religions and cultures throughout China, India, Japan, and so forth.

Shiva is always depicted with a cobra. Kali has serpents all over her.

Oftentimes the serpent is said to represent the beloved, or the ego. The serpent represents how we are always shedding our attachments.

Serpents can bring up fear, and evoke a lot of discomfort for many.

Dissolving our fear around snakes puts us in touch with our truest, most sensual nature, and the parts of ourselves that know how to shed, transform, move over any terrain with ease, softness, and power.

We can ask the serpent for wisdom. We can ask the serpent to show us our power, our beauty, our medicine. To show us how to glide over resistance.

We work with some spine articulation today, starting in our pelvis, to move our sensual dance. Let this dance be a soft, flowing hug!

FOR THIS PRACTICE YOU WILL NEED

-soft layered, sensual clothing

-a soft mat or blanket to sit on

-water to stay hydrated

-no balls necessary this time. it's between you, yourself, and... you. <3
