EMA Basics from the Archives
Hello Shaktis,
Happy first day of Chaitra Navaratri here in North America! A major tantric and Hindu celebration and festival held in honor of 9 emanations or movements of the Divine Feminine.
I spent the day making offerings to nature in gratitude. I will talk more about this in the EMA Immersion video tomorrow.
Here is a class filled with reminders from Erotic Movement Arts. Sometimes we just wanna have a nice stretch and move our bodies, get the heart pumping, and discharge some stress but our female bodies have a specific vibration and the inclusivity of our breasts and yoni (womb, cervix, vulva, ovaries, sacrum, hips) give us a deep resource to our creativity, pleasure, intuition, expression and connection to our inner life and landscape that does not exist in a male body.
Now, if you had a mastectomy and/or a hysterectomy (gosh, I hate that misogynistic word), these experiences I'm describing can still be true, as your body still rushes with female energy and hormones if you still have ovaries and not in menopause, you have experienced the joys and burdens of having female organs before and the surgeries don't change your femaleness.
We bleed and then we become holders of the blood.
What an adventure it is to be in this body of ours.
Some female shamans say that we don't need anyone telling us what to do ever as our body is highly tuned to birth, life, and death and isn't that really the most profound thing that living this human life goes through??
With female-centered embodiment such as EMA, we can enjoy the idea and practice of All Roads leading to the Yoni, to the Womb, to our Sacred Space. It's so powerful to be a woman in this time.
Bowing to your Divine Feminine Body and Light,
xxRie
