BODY LAB: You 'Knead' Your Knees - Full Class

Just a reminder to say something nice to yourself right now and then move that kindness through you body by breathing it into your cells, take a dance break or roll out your muscles.
This class was recorded last summer and I apologize for the weak quality but I hop you find something useful right now. I decided to post it even with the wonkiness because I have been hearing from my private clients that they want to do more work on their knees. We have been sitting a lot more since the pandemic started so if you also have been feeling your knees or hips talking to you, this class might be helpful.
We will start with breathing techniques to help you warm up your core and move into releasing tension around your hips, IT band and knees.

PRACTICE TIP: I invite you to hone in on your embodiment tracker skills.
Staying curious about what signals your body is giving you will always lead you somewhere fascinating. Since our body is mostly water, I sometimes like to think of my tracker inspirations coming from underwater explorers. There are so many interesting point of view when it comes to getting creative with conscious embodiment. Movement is creativity in action!
Have you seen My Octopus Teacher? I love this movie so much I think I've seen it 3 times. Skip this part if you haven't seen it yet.
That guy went looking for his beloved octopus everyday, this amazing bond was created from his personal need to save himself from a low point which lead to a daily meditation in the water and his curiosity to connect to the octopus gave him the charge of Lifeforce he had drained away before - he surrendered to this sensuous watery source of vitality and he found his great teacher and his desire for life and fatherhood! Wow, crying just typing this.

During this time, we are all taking classes online and using follow along yourself style video classes and refining your ability to stay present with your feeling sensations will keep you mindful and authentic to your personal needs (and prevent injury too).
