Oct 2024 - Which project would you prefer I focus on next?
Added 2024-10-06 10:56:54 +0000 UTCGood morning everybody. Hope you're all having a chill weekend.
Over here I've got a bit of a job. I need to go crawling around in the loft, laying down reams of insulative padding in preparation for the colder temperatures incoming in the UK. Should be a proper task.
Knowing me, Lulu is going to be staring at my leg protruding through the kitchen ceiling soon enough. Will let you know how it goes in the next livestream :)

As for editing though, with Alyx finished, I need a direction insofar as what to do next. I've prepared 6 possible options below and wanted to know if anything takes your fancy?
I'll combine it with the Twitch subscriber poll for a total. Which I'll pop below in the comments. Please feel free to vote for multiple options.
What do you think I should do next? Of the six potentials:
----------------------
1.) Valheim
Valheim is an open-world adventure/building game with a Viking flavour.

We've had a couple of playthrough of Valheim now. First in a village that we called Knobheim. And then later in a port town we called Knobgard.
As Valheim features quite a lot of quiet exploration, there were many opportunities for comedic banter between the 8-10 people playing.
No project file exists as no part one has been created. Expect some preproduction work.
It might also be wise to keep Knobheim and Knobgard entirely separate for the sake of easy continuity.
----------------------
2.) Pavlov
Pavlov is the VR version of Counterstrike, with many of the same mechanics and maps. Both my clans mates and regulars have played it regularly some years ago, building up a large number of comedic moments.

Whilst we've not played it in a long while, I'm reasonably confident that quite a large number of funny clips remains in the master file. I can see whether it's enough for an amusing bullshittery.
The master project file has previously been created for part 1. Preproduction work would be minimal. With the exception of some scrubbing of outstanding clips.
VR keyframing is generally difficult. But not extremely so. It depends on how much action is going on in the frame.
Expect an assortment of bullshittery style gags in both the standard Counterstrike game modes and various extras, such as zombies hoards.
----------------------
3.) Arma 3
Arma 3 Prairie Fire is the Vietnam expansion pack for Arma 3. The clan played three distinct session of Prairie Fire. The first being the campaign missions, and the second and third being two long sessions of "Mike Force" - a mode similar to Antistasi.

The master project file for Vietnam has been created. And is very well stocked with numerous good moments. So I don't expect a massive amount of pre-production scrubbing.
Bullshittery moments would be standard Arma. Friendly fire, miscommunications and banter under fire.
It consisted of a very large and diverse group of clan mates and regulars both. So expect many voices again, rather than a set 4-5.
No need for a musical introduction this time. I'll dive straight into Vietnam clips.
----------------------
4.) DayZ:
I doubt any of you need me to explain what DayZ is. An open world game with an emphasis on urban/wilderness survival with hostile zombies. And human players with the option of being hostile, if they so choose.
That very ambiguity of purpose is one of the things that made the gameplay so fascinating.

Over the years I've managed to build up a large pool of comedic moments from various DayZ servers and sessions. Showcasing bizarre bugs, various hostile encounters, and banter between clan mates.
Despite the number of DayZ bullshitteries, all of that work would have predated the switch over to Adobe Premiere in January 2017. Meaning I'd need to build up the project folder from scratch.
The notes however look pretty well kept. So finding everything shouldn't be an issue.
----------------------
5.) Left4Dead:
Left4Dead is a cooperative/competitive zombie shooter that various groups have played on and off for many years. Often to re-live the nostalgia of such a pair of games.
A bit of a curveball with one. As I don't yet know if I have enough comedic moments to make a full bullshittery. I'm fairly confident there would be. But a proper scrubbing session would let me tell you more.
Expect plenty of bickering, friendly firing and immediately leaving my teammates behind for giggles.
Considerably faster paced than most other bullshitteries.
6.) Space Engineers
Space Engineers is essentially space Minecraft. It's been something of a staple on the channel, along with Arma and DayZ. The guys and I will often make a server, build contraptions. And then show them off or fight with them.

Master project file exists. With numerous scrubbed clips from our Moon Base and Earth based playthroughs. Though we've done about 3-4 since then, so I would like to scrub further.
Comedic highlights usually involve piss taking with various weird contraptions. Bookended by explosions.
And then inevitably Tom comes along and puts us all to shame with his amazing build. That man gets dedicated to his builds.
Comments
I'm watching the Half-Life Alyx VODs and in the first stream you sound freaked out about the mannequin not having hands, then almost immediately stick your hands in the machine next to it. You wouldn't be able to resist the cheese in a mouse trap would you?

2024-10-09 00:10:53 +0000 UTCSpace Engineers! I love it when Womble and his mates are in a build game together. Not only is there plenty of time for banter like in other types of games but there's also Rube Goldberg stuff and sabotage. Nothing says friendship like painting someone's stuff neon pink.

2024-10-06 18:21:52 +0000 UTCVoted for Valheim but honestly I want a Silent hunter video as it remains one of my favourite games you stream. Not sure if you have played UBOAT? maybe something for the future? However any new content is much appreciated. Many thanks

2024-10-06 16:53:45 +0000 UTCJust imagine how many roadside toasters you could store up there if you finished that space up. Gloves and long sleeves are recommended with that insulation, or you might be itchy afterwards. If that happens I recommend cold shower (as a hot one will only make it worse)... Good luck

2024-10-06 14:44:58 +0000 UTCWatch out for spiders. Could try some pest control insulation but I think you need a specialist for that since you can't breathing it in when installing.

2024-10-06 14:38:23 +0000 UTCI feel like Valheim will be a long project like divinity. so I want divinity to be finished first

2024-10-06 14:11:41 +0000 UTCCan't wait for either of those tbh :) general quality and hard work you put into production of these is very inspiring :) Thank you sincerely for making these

2024-10-06 14:03:34 +0000 UTCBe sure to wear a mask and maybe some protective gloves while you do the insulation work!

2024-10-06 12:31:23 +0000 UTCGet some 150mm joists on top of that with the insulation in-between and OSB on top. Loads of extra storage space.

2024-10-06 11:06:20 +0000 UTCCombined poll totals so far - *07/10/24 18:05 1.) Valheim 129 + 434 = 563 2.) Pavlov 67 + 141 = 208 3.) Arma Vietnam 92 + 163 = 255 4.) DayZ 68 + 176 = 244 5.) Left4Dead 68 + 198 = 266 6.) Space Engineers 178 + 526 = 704 **WINNER**
