Skyrim Status Update #3
Added 2022-03-01 07:31:42 +0000 UTCGreetings. Work on the Skyrim project is continuing well. We are currently at 116k words, or 235 pages. For reference, the Oblivion video clocked in at 135k words or 313 pages. I have just concluded the rough draft for the Main Quest section, leaving just the Side Quests, Dawnguard, Dragonborn, and Conclusion left to finish.
Estimating the total length based off the previous numbers, while fun, is from experience a bad idea. Afterwards I'll be editing the script preparing it for the final draft. By my estimation, the Skyrim project is still well on course. Unfortunately I don't have much more to give you other than metrics, which themselves have historically been deceptive.
As for side projects, I unfortunately have a lot of spinning plates and not necessarily anything substantive yet. I know I will be doing a video about getting into Morrowind for the 20th Anniversary, but that will be in May. I have not been finding time to play Elden Ring, and am on the verge of delaying/cancelling that video, just to make everything else easier.
I think the issue is that I'm having a hard time justifying writing anything other than the Skyrim script at this moment. The rate of videos should then pick up after I'm done with writing about Skyrim. The Jedi Knight video did nothing for 5 months, so the only way the work I do ever expires is if it's time sensitive (like Elden Ring) or if I just abandon the project.

I think in lieu of a more time sensitive elden ring project, a more broad souls/borne overlook would be preferable - at least to me. Food for thought if you were interested in a project like that! Either way, looking forward to the next big video
