Oblivion Status Update #5
Added 2021-04-16 16:57:06 +0000 UTCIt's been a month since the last status update, but the good news is that I'm nearing the end of this rough draft. At 88k words, it's nearing the length of the Morrowind video. It should be noted that there are some stylistic differences in my approach this time around, as I'm able to include more quotes from the game itself thanks to voice acting, which are contributing to the wordcount of the script.
There will also be an editing phase where I cut down and rework some sections, so the final length is still in the air. I've finished writing on the bulk of the games main content, and only have: The Daedra, Side Quests, Shivering Isles, and the Conclusion left to write. This process has now officially taken longer to write than the Morrowind video(~45 days), but the research and quality is (IMO) higher quality, and hopefully I'm paying my editor forward to make the editing side of this project much smoother than Morrowind's.
Also, I should note: ANYONE who donates between January and the release of this video is being credited, even if you stop donating. I should have stated this sooner and will absolutely be open to anyone who doesn't want that who wants to reach out.
