Been playing around with the roger beeps.. Request in the future.. Could it be possible to hear a preview during selection?.. Having to back all the way to the dash. Test the change. Then back into the menu setting is rather cumbersome with so many to choose from 🙉.. The sound delay is a great touch as well. Great work on this release. Having no real issue's on my end.

Right O, I'll take a look 👍

Please read the chat from yesterday for the answer to that question

Great fun so far,so good to have the Squelch finally working! OEM firmware just wasn't having it. Any plans to bring the shortwave function into your builds in the future?

Frequency calibration is usually the culprit. There is no default calibration with nicFW like there is with the stock firmware, it's up to the user to perform. The setting XTAL 671 is used to calibrate frequency. Try changing the frequency slightly up and down e.g. 439.27510, 439.27520, 439.27530, 439.27490, 439.27480, 439.27470, etc.. until the CTCSS starts working. That will tell you how far you are off, take that value, multiply it by 671, divide it by 439.275 and you'll get the value you need to put in XTAL 671

Hello Marcus, I'm having trouble with the RT-880/UV98 Plus and Firmware nicFW880 ALPHA 15, receiving "weak" signals (e.g. on 439.275 MHz) below S9 (e.g., S6) with CTCSS (RX) enabled, even though squelch-level is set to 1. I've already experimented with the squelch settings Noise-Trigger, Hysteresis, Throttle, and Noise-Ceiling, but without success. What am I doing wrong?

The S-Meter is 100% accurate based on the feedback from the BK4819, adding a calibration will just be enabling fake readings. I.e. there is nothing to calibrate, if the BK4819 says the signal is -56dBm over a -110dBm, that'a signal of S9, full stop.

Marcus Dudley

Hello Marcus, will it be possible to set up an S-Meter calibration in the next alpha versions? Thank you very much for your great work.

same here, i agree!!! jsut trying to figure out stuff lol

I'm still playing around with this release.. Working great thus far on the 880G.. Your doing a fantastic job on these releases!

What CSV? There is no calibration csv. Turn the radio on with the EMG key pressed, wait for the red triangle to disappear, then turn off and back on. You will have everything reset back to default.

Marcus Dudley

Hello. :) I accidentally deleted the calibration and set everything to 0. Can someone send me their csv file so I can have a rough idea of the calibration data?

What's WFM got to do with the scrambler? ????

Marcus Dudley

RMS rechts Klick, perfekt und konnte jetzt die Kanäle mal sortieren . FM Radio (WFM) wäre auch schön es wieder nutzen zu können. Ansonsten wächst da weiter was tolles in deinen Händen heran.

The XB Repeater doesn't work properly when started from the function menu, it needs to be started from a user key, I'll fix it in 16
