Main visible change here is the startup logo, other than that not much else will seem to have been added. But there have been a ton of tweaks, small requests and fixes that have been reported from ALPHA 13.

This is ALPHA stage, it'll be implemented when it's implemented.

Marcus Dudley

When will be implemented the HF rx?

Fermo Tanzi

Gut möglich, wie gesagt ist nur so schlecht wenn es in der Ladeschale steht . Das laden außerhalb mit dem gleichen Kabel, keine Probleme. Wenn man es weis kann man es ja umgehen.

Rainer Heisser

I do get quite bad interference when the cable is plugged in also. Bad filtering probably.

Rainer Heisser

I didn't implement multi-ptt because the side buttons aren't wired in a way that really facilitates it. You do have reverse tones, you press # to swap it (like almost every other radio does it). Multiwatch has to swap between frequencies all the time, so if it's not listening to a particular one when a signal comes it it won't pick it up until slightly later, the radio can only receive one frequency at a time. It does stay on the VFO that was detected for the simple reason that you might want to talk back, it'd be no good if you spoke back on the wrong VFO.

Hi Marcus, with my Patreon support I'd like to thank you for the work you're doing. After testing this new version, I must say that the way the information is presented on the screen is visually very nice and practical. Although I've noticed that the multi-standby feature doesn't trigger correctly, losing part of the message if it arrives from another frequency... and depending on how it returns, it either decides to stay on the frequency on which the last call was received. Is this a bug or a feature? Another important thing for me is the multi-ptt feature, which I don't see how to activate. I get the feeling you didn't implement it because of what I mentioned above. We also don't have reverse digital subtones... or I haven't been able to find them, which is the least of it, since I'll just change the subtone and get going. I hope my message doesn't bother you. yes this is addressed in the next release.

Hi Marcus, I have a quick question — is it possible to activate the screen for next ALPHA firmware when pressing the PTT button? Also, during channel scanning, the screen stays on all the time. Is there a way to make it up only when an active channel/frequency is found? Thanks

ZBEW

Yep, Display Timeout option to include display and keyboard LEDs in Group-Channel scan mode unless there is a use-case to keep scan display timeout separate from a global timeout.

Michael A

That's the "Heartbeat" you can configure it in the Display menu. It's to let you know the radio is still switched on.

Marcus Dudley

Does your keyboard also flash in listening mode (standby mode)?

Fantastic work on 14. Really enjoying the "extra's" and the way it looks with the alternative UI layout.. Few requests down the line if I could. 1) Dim Brightness 2) Noise Gate 3) Screen time out while scanning within group mode 4) Some sort of AF filters.. Yea know just the NicFW basics.. Great stuff!! Thank you for bringing back the "scan persist" function. As well as the "Day/Night" option. That was slick adding that. Good job boss~
