nicFW880 ALPHA 11 [Release Bundle]

Hey everyone!

This update includes the updated RMS (Radio Management System)! 🎉

📦 What's in the Bundle?

This download includes:

The RMS app – for every platform
Note: The RMS App now has a firmware flasher built in.
The Firmware Binary (.bin file)
Hopefully a fix for the flash corruption problem, if not there is a safeguard in place.

These are all standalone executables, no extra frameworks required. Just download, run, and you’re good to go!

That said, the bundle is a bit hefty in size. I know it’s not ideal, and I’m looking into offering individual downloads in the future. Thanks for bearing with the chonky boi zip for now!

🛠 About the RMS

The RMS is in its early days and currently includes:

A Channels tab
A Groups tab
A User Keys tab (longpress)
A Bandplan tab
A Firmware Flashing tab

It functions similarly to the SPI apps for the 900 and 890, with a few small differences. You can import other nicFW channel CSV files, but please note:

⚠️ TX Power will likely default to "Very High" on all channels after import. Be sure to double-check and adjust those settings as needed.

Because of changes to flash addresses, settings, and group data in this release, I had to update the sentinel/magic values. As a result:

➡️ Previous settings and channels won’t carry over between versions
I know that’s frustrating, sorry! But that’s the nature of the beast during active development. I have to re-arrange flash allocations and addresses all the time, so it can't be helped.

Also, a reminder:

nicFW880 is still in ALPHA : meaning it's very much a work in progress. Expect bugs, missing features, and all the usual early-stage quirks. Thanks for being part of the journey and helping shape it!
