nicFW880 Alpha

These are sequential alpha stage releases as functionality is built up.

Obviously, don't report missing functionality, as there is a lot of that at this stage, even if a menu option is there it doesn't mean the function is implemented yet.

(There will be many glitches)

Note regarding Multi Watch (It's no longer Dual Watch as there's three VFOs):
In order for HF to function, an internal relay must be switched. You will hear this relay switching when you move between HF and VHF/UHF. Now due to the way multi watch works, by rapidly switching between each VFO, this makes multi watch on mixed HF/UVHF frequencies impractical because it would require the relay to be rapidly switching. No only would this sound terrible, it would not be healthy for the relay. Thus multi watch will only work when all VFOs are in HF or all are in VHF/UHF.

In ALPHA07 we're finally saving stuff to SPI Flash memory, so things should now persist. One thing I neglected was the currently active VFO, on power off it will default back to VFO-A being selected, I'll deal with that next release. Check out the CMS menu for channel management related stuff. I have moved Group Add and Group Remove to the CMS menu as I think they fit better in there.

You will notice a red triangle appearing all the time. This means there is data waiting to be written to SPI Flash memory. If you turn off the radio while this triangle is shown, you will lose data. You can change the period the triangle stays on with the SPI Deferral option in the Advanced menu. The lower you set this, the more wear you're going to give the SPI Flash chip. A full explanation of this effect is given :here:

Since I do not have that radio model it is impossible for me to answer.

Hi Marcus, does your firmware also work on the Bajeton BJ-7800? A in-depth research by ChatGPT (o3) claimed that hardware and bootloader are identical to the Radtel RT-880. Do you see any obstacle/hindrance on flashing your firmware?

Alpha06 Multiwatch funktioniert gut und das Problem mit den CTCSS Tönen scheint auch behoben. Kann meine Relais mit CTCSS und DCS Tönen erreichen, hören und Relais öffnen.
