Crossband Repeater Edition
Hey folks, I’ve just pushed another exploratory firmware (exFW) release! This one implements a basic crossband repeater, giving me a chance to dig deeper into how the radio’s firmware interfaces with the hardware.
These exFW builds are not full releases; far from it. They’re rough, purpose-built tools to test assumptions, refine my hardware interface strategy, and pave the way for nicFW down the line. Still, I share them here for two key reasons:
- To keep you in the loop; I am actively working behind the scenes.
- So you can help spot quirks I may have missed.
This is hands-on reverse engineering at its messiest and most exciting.

* — Start/Stop Repeater
# — Toggle VHF/UHF input frequency focus
0-9 — Enter new frequency (Top: VHF only, Bottom: UHF only)

Nach der Installation von der Vers. 9 und ein paar Feinabstimmungen im RT900 im Bereich Noise Ceiling und Noise Level, ist die Übertragung und die Repeaterfunktion gut.

2025-07-06 10:12:04 +0000 UTCSounds like you're mis-tuned so modulation is being taken as noise and causing it to think the signal is lost and/or you're getting feedback while testing.

2025-07-06 09:12:55 +0000 UTCRepeater funktioniert soweit, dass er umschaltet und das Signal weiter gibt. Radio öffnet und der Träger ist vorhanden. Sobald aber Modulation erfolgt, bricht die Übertragung des Repeater ein und hört auf. Ist die Modulation beendet ist das Signal wieder da. DTMF Töne werden auch nur zerhackt übertragen.
