RT-880 Font Rendering done
Added 2025-06-28 16:43:14 +0000 UTCWell that was a journey, had to write a whole separate app to convert fonts to something usable. But now, we're sporting a 24x32 font right there.
I know right now it doesn't seem like a much, writing text to a screen? But when you have no fonts, no docs, no reference, no idea how the LCD controller is mapped to the LCD module etc... Getting to here is not easy.
Now I need to tackle the BK4819s, to begin I think I'll make a test firmware, just a fixed frequency, basic RX and TX, nothing else. Maybe put that out here so folk can see that progress is happening.

Nothing I don't have an RT-950 and I've not seen any videos of it.

2025-09-20 19:49:52 +0000 UTCWhen the time comes I'll have to buy a GPS version myself, I can't realistically implement features like that without being able to test it. And it makes sense that I would need both versions too. But right now I'm a LOOOOOONG way from worrying about GPS and APRS.

If so my unit should be arriving within 2 weeks or so. I'll upload the stock backup if need be. I'm just not to sure how your planning to intergrade the GPS/APRS side of things without it. Just planning ahead~ In the end.. This is some great progress non the less!..
