Comments

No it's not DTMF at all, the ** changes it to a single tone system. The digits represent musical notes a semitone apart.

Marcus Dudley

This is GREAT! Thank you! Can you comment on how tones are actually generated? It sounds like the DTMF sequence at super speed, is that correct? Do the ** just mod the speed?

roachslayer

No changes to any squelch code was done. Effect is either conditions or observer bias. One or all of these Don't use RX Subtones Adjust squelch settings properly Perform a frequency alignment

I was wondering if there's any way you could add like a Roger Bee? Maybe like a Motorola one?

good bro

I have few repeaters received with S3 to S4 signals. The radio chops in/out on them. A repeater at S6 or higher are solid in with no chops. I have this both on 2.52.19 and 2.52.20 but did not notice it in 2.52.15 so I think a setting changed. Any clues?

The RT-900 has a dedicated GPIO PWM to vary the gain, no such line exists on the 890 or H3 and there is a lag, changing the BK4819 gain does not immediately change the RSSI reading so I had to guess on gain settings to drop to. I can't do any kind of sampling because if I change the gain, the RSSI now becomes unreliable, unless I reset the chip, but that would result in a "crunch" when the signal first comes in.

Just tested the DTMF ID chirp and it works great. Thanks!

Ciao Marcus, compairing the AM AGC fix on the TD-H3 with the same option on RT-900, it appairs more aggressive lowering the strong signals to S1-2 with low audio, on the RT-900 instead the signals are solid S6-7 with perfect audio volume... Different hardware or different code?
