Added 2025-05-30 15:35:01 +0000 UTCNote: Please read this "heads-up" post before proceeding [CLICK HERE]
This release focuses heavily on DTMF functionality enhancements and improvements.
Settings Reset Functionality
Holding the ‘#’ key while powering on the radio now performs a full settings reset.
Radios with red and blue LEDs will flash to confirm the reset.Intended for emergency recovery use only.
DTMF Enhancements
Expanded DTMF Presets
The number of available DTMF presets has been increased to 40.Note: PTT-ID is now assigned to preset 39.
New DTMF Decode Modes
DTMF decoding now supports two operating modes:Continuous: Decodes DTMF tones as long as a signal is present—squelch state is ignored.
Squelched: Decoding occurs only when the squelch is open.
DTMF Delay Setting
A new setting, "DTMF Delay", controls the delay (in seconds) between pressing PTT and the start of the DTMF sequence.Note: This does not affect PTT-ID, which remains hardcoded to a 0.5-second delay.
Longer DTMF Labels
DTMF preset labels have been extended to support up to 11 characters.Recalibrated DTMF Speed
The DTMF speed setting now ranges from 0 to 50. This adjustment also applies to PTT-ID timing.

what is the best way to get familiar with what each button does? THANK YOU

2025-06-03 19:06:51 +0000 UTCNeue Firmware funktioniert bisher sehr gut. Radioempfang auch schwache Stationen sowie starke Stationen gut empfangbar. DTMF funktioniert bei mit mit Speed 18 und Lautstärke 85 sehr gut und dekodiert auch die langen Namen jetzt. Airband weiterhin guter Empfang. Frequenzabweichungen sehr gering um 0.0004 Mhz. Bin gespannt wie es weitergeht. Danke Marcus

2025-05-31 14:19:24 +0000 UTCThe latest firmware is a solid piece of work. The radio is very responsive and performs excellently both in receiving and transmitting. I haven’t tested the DTMF functionality since I don’t have a need for it. Keep up the great work, Marcus!

2025-05-30 21:42:02 +0000 UTCAll I can tell you is that the radio sending the DTMF had to have a volume of at least 80 for the 900 to decode it properly. That was both the H3 and 890 both running nicFW. The 900 had no problem reading the H3 at speed 20

2025-05-30 18:42:34 +0000 UTCNot here I'm afraid, sorry. All tests of frequencies in that range I've performed are fine.

2025-05-30 18:08:32 +0000 UTCCommercial radio stations are not received properly. There is still a problem of narrow deviation in the 147-151 MHz range.

2025-05-30 18:02:34 +0000 UTCI had the same issue with skipping characters but it seems to be resolved with this release!

2025-05-30 17:55:24 +0000 UTCSo would that be a deviation on the 900 receiving or h3 tx, or would I just have to fiddle with both, or should I get a vna and see how far both are out txing?

2025-05-30 16:48:51 +0000 UTCProbably deviation, I can get the 900 to decode ultra fast here.

2025-05-30 16:21:10 +0000 UTCAlways when I'm at work lol, excited to see about this, when tx DTMF from tid rx from radtel, the radtel still only captures roughly every other character, could this be something in deviation, cause I have noticed the h3 slowest DTMF tx speed is is about twice the rate of what I have my 900 at
