2024-01-18 11:45:07 +0000 UTCCan I ask how you see the future of the Palestine Authority, given that at best it has proved incompetent and impotent, and at worst corrupt, and an agent for Israel. This relates to both how they will be used by the international community, and to the local West Bank population. Konrad

2024-01-17 18:08:12 +0000 UTCHave you spoken yet? Having heard one of the Trump Juniors claim that the world was a much safer place under Trump, no new wars, all fell apart under Biden etc. etc. I have been wondering if the current state of the world can be attributed to the shockwaves from Trump's seismic shifts in US foreign policy. There is no doubt in my mind that Biden's weakness is a factor but history doesn't move in presidencies. It evolves without necessarily having regard for America's four year terms. (e.g. it's noteworthy that Russia was building its reserves throughout Trump's presidency) Obviously it's an impossible counterfactual but in a world where Clinton, Cruz or Romney won instead in 2016 and America continued on its previous path how likely are we to have seen the shocks we've seen under Biden but after Trump?

2024-01-16 23:55:46 +0000 UTCHi Richard, would love to hear more about the domestic situation in Yemen and how that has developed through the blockade and then the US bombing, as well as the ripple effects regionally?
