VideoControllerJJW UIAssist Grid
Added 2024-08-20 17:00:41 +0000 UTCI recently released an improved version of the excellent VideoController plugin. My plugin is an update to FeiFeiWong's VideoContollerUIT (which was based on VamSander's original VideoController script) resource, which appears to have been abandoned.
See here on VAMHub: VideoContollerJJW
I also created a UIAssist grid of buttons here. This grid of buttons can be used to control Video Playback in the plugin from UIAssist.
UIAssist VideoControllerJJW.uiap Installation Instructions:
Place the uiap file in the folder VAM\Saves\PluginData\JayJayWon\UIAssist
In VAM, open the UIAssist plugin UI from the VAM Session Plugins tab.
Select the 'Load Profile' tab and press the 'Import Grid from UIA Profile' button
In the file selection dialog select the VideoContolJJW.uiap file
In the drop down box 'Select Grid to Import' select '1 (Video Controller)'
Press the 'Import Grid' button
Plugin Changes from FeiFeiWong's script:
Option to play Audio of the Video that is in the centre of the current screen view (i.e. currently being gazed at). The audio will switch automatically as the user moves their gaze to different video screens.
Additional trigger variations that will target the video screen being gazed at by the users. PlayNextGazeScreen, PlayPauseGazeScreen, Stop Gaze Screen.
New trigger (PlayPreviousGazeScreen) to play the previous video that was playing on the currently gazed at screen. i.e. the plugin now remembers which videos have been played on each screen.
New triggers (SkipForwardGazeScreen and SkipBackGazeScreen) which will forward or rewind the video on the screen currently being gazed at by a time interval. The size of the time intervals can be adjusted using the triggers ForwardSkipInterval and BackwardSkipInterval.
New trigger (ToggleLoopGazeScreen) which will set the video on currently gazed at screen to loop or not. i.e. if loop is on the it will repeat the same video on the screen being gazed at.
VAR package includes an Empty atom preset that can be used to load the VideoController plugin and automatically play videos located in the folder "VAM/VideoPlayer" or "VAM/Saves/Videos".
