Preparing for the future beta-test

🔧 Since we all have a short break from personal business, we fully returned to work on the build. Right now, Grimm and I are testing the third act from the very beginning to end for the first time, checking how the routes work, catching critical bugs. Generally speaking, we set up the game for beta test. C:

🌘 The entire act will take place in the night Hill Camp - we have already posted some midnight backgrounds (available for Melalo). For whatever reason, the hardest part was getting the characters into the new environment. They rather blended into the backgrounds too much, or looked too flat and alien, so as a result, we had to export the sprites several times before we found the right balance. But now it's all in place.

💫 There is a new puzzle waiting for you in the game, we already mentioned it earlier. Together with Roui, you have to pull off a small alchemical trick. The puzzle is simple but looks really pretty. x)

☑️ What are the remaining challenges:

🗝️Split dialogues into lines, organize emotion descriptors

🗝️Rewrite some minor parts of the scenario (something has changed as a result of more in-depth reflection on the plot);

🗝️Add additional dialogues;

🗝️Draw portraits of companions (only Lazy and Ingrid remained - yes, girls can enter the party for a short time);

🗝️Gather the parts of the cutscenes and export them for the game;

🗝️Other small tasks that are challenging just because there are many of them.

We can't say anything specific about the timing yet, as always. We will keep you informed and publish updates on the current development status more often, and will delight you with game content and talk about the lore during our working breaks (:
