Hey Everyone!
With snakes on my mind and a bunch of requests for the Ball Python keychain without the key ring hole, I thought I'd take it a step further and make a new set of smaller Pythons. These little guys are the perfect desktop fidget size (11" and 5" versions), print quickly, and don't require any assembly. 100% Print-In-Place, with no supports needed! These youngsters also sport a more youthful face sculpt.
For sellers, these could be a great value options for those customers that aren't quite ready for the big guys!

Baby Ball Python: (Print-in-Place)
Young Ball Python Curled: (Print-in-Place. Curled for optimal bed layout on most printers)
Young Ball Python Aligned: (Print-in-Place. Aligned for larger scale printers, will fit most standard printers if rotated diagonally)
No Supports needed!
Consider using a Brim or Raft if having adhesion issues.
5-15% Infill.
3 Walls.
These have been successfully printed down to 75% scale. YMMV

2023-01-21 19:54:08 +0000 UTCYes, I use 0.4mm. If your joints are sticking, your printer may be over-extruding. You may want to calibrate your e-steps and flow. Slicers have a multiplier setting to increase/decrease the flow rate. Feel free to post about this in the Discord #Troubleshooting channel if you want. We can more easily help you get it sorted out there.

2023-01-19 18:55:53 +0000 UTCThey are painted and usually top-coated with a glossy clear coat (although in an earlier reply, Matt said that he used a multicolor printer for these python models, the Bambu X1C I believe). The eyes are printed as part of the model to have a hole for the pupil, a separate iris, a highlight, and the sclera. Each part of the eye is painted separately, black pupil, colored iris, white highlight, and white or colored sclera. It was a pretty ingenious design choice by Matt.
