Rattlesnake now has a Snap-Fit Rattle!

By popular demand!  I have added a snap-fit option for the rattle, so it can be easily printed in a different filament and attached later!

I did my very best to find a well balanced fit for this, but due to the widely varying tolerances that can occur with different printers and filament, some people may need to use additional aids to secure the joint.  If it is loose you may need to add some super-glue to the joint to firm it up.  If it is tight you may need a pliers to help gently push the joints together.  Another option is to try and scale the rattle up or down 1-2% to try and get a better fit.  If all else fails, there is still the "Body_Rear_wRattle" option, in which the rattle is pre-attached.

*Since the number of files in this download is fairly large. I have added numbers to the front of the filenames to sort the parts by recommended use.

Let me know how this works for you!  Cant wait to see all the awesome color options you come up with!

Cheers,
Matt

Thank you! I was waiting to print this hoping you would do this. It is printing now, and looking very nice, using the same filament you did!

Unfortunately, aside from re-printing the Body_Rear, cutting and gluing is probably your only choice.

The rattle print came out amazing. The two halves of the head printed wonderfully. The rattle is cleaver and fits in nice and tight. Nice work!

I'm so happy you did this... Any idea how I can put the new rattle on the old tail? I really hate to have to print the whole thing again... Thinking of cutting it off, and maybe gluing on the last segment with the clip on it... Any other ideas?

Sorry if it's confusing. The numbering is only meant to sort the files into groups according to recommendation. Most people will only need to print the #1 group of files, and #2 if they want to add extensions. Groups 3 & 4 just give extra options for people who want them. Group 4 is the two layouts of the rear with the rattle already attached, rather than a snap-fit. It's so many files that I wanted to organize them somehow.
