A celebration of who we truly are, as poetically told by philosopher Alan Watts.
We have been trained to think of ourselves and the universe as two separate things. In reality, our sense of self is just an illusion - we and the universe are one and the same.
We are like the tendrils of smoke on the edge of a huge explosion - a brilliant cosmic accident, inseparably connected to the rest of the universe and the burst of energy that started it all, 13.8 billion years ago.
Alan Watts was not a scientist. But through his unique blend of eastern philosophy and scientific understanding he offered us a vision of ourselves that is still fresh and enlightening decades later.
Working on this piece felt like creating a manifesto of sorts. By adding my own personal touch to Watts' words I hope you find the same amazement in this outlook on life that I do.
