First and foremost, thank you to all my Patrons who make investigations like this possible. Your support allowed me to dedicate months to uncovering the truth about Limited Run Games, and I'm incredibly grateful.
What you saw in the video is just the tip of the iceberg. Behind the scenes, this investigation involved:
10+ hours of recorded interviews with former employees who risked their professional futures
Dozens of folders containing tax documents, property records, and internal communications
Consultations with 5 different government agencies and media companies (who helped me understand the regulatory landscape)
Countless hours verifying and cross-referencing information from multiple sources
The legal challenges were immense. Despite "truth being the ultimate defense," the threat of litigation from a company with deep pockets forced me to be extraordinarily careful with every word. Each allegation went through multiple rounds of verification and legal review. Some compelling stories had to be left out because they couldn't be corroborated.
Perhaps the most difficult aspect was protecting my sources. Many former employees are still working in the gaming industry and legitimately feared retaliation. Creating systems to anonymize information while maintaining its integrity required careful planning - changing identifying details without altering the substance of what happened.
There's a strange weight to telling someone else's story. These people trusted me with experiences that left deep emotional scars. The responsibility to present their truth accurately while protecting them from harm kept me awake many nights. I found it remarkably difficult to even begin writing the script knowing that this video couldn't be as editorial as I would normally create.
For those wondering why this investigation took so long: gathering evidence, verifying claims, and navigating the legal minefield of corporate misconduct reporting isn't quick work. But I believe it was worth the wait to bring you something substantive rather than speculative.
Thank you again for making this possible. Your support doesn't just help expose corporate malfeasance - it helps give voice to those who weren't heard when they needed it most.
I've included some other thumbnails that I'm going to be A/B testing over the coming days! You may never see any of these except the one the algorithm chooses.
