Hey everybody, it's Try here! Did you know that today is the 13th anniversary of the release of Final Fantasy XIII in Japan? We can now finally share with our own Patreon supporters the collaboration all about the Final Fantasy XIII trilogy that we did with John Linneman of Digital Foundry! John, Coury, and I are all big fans of FFXIII and feel that it deserves a second chance... and not just because it's held up significantly better visually than the vast majority of games from its generation.

In this episode, I did a significant amount of writing, game capture, and B-roll shooting, in addition to appearing throughout the episode and handling the entirety of the sequels section. I think the sequels are quite good too, with Lightning Returns being, in my opinion, one of the most interestingly-designed open world games ever made... it's just not what open world game junkies are looking for (but it is what I am looking for!).

Anyway, we hope you enjoy this, and give it a watch even if you think Final Fantasy XIII isn't your thing. It might just change your mind!
