Unboxing the Genesis Mini Tower - VideoLog

Sega sent over a surprise yesterday - a US version of the Sega CD and 32X add-ons for the Genesis Mini. So, I decided to put together an early video log this week while I unboxed it. I also shot an unhealthy amount of B Roll of it and made a little edit of some of it thats at the end of the video. Video is (or will be soon) in 4K so you can really see the details!

I've also decided to make this videolog public from the get-go because it's such a limited product I thought people would like to see the close-up details of it.

Hopefully, Sega will make these available for fans to purchase in the near future. If not, it's kinda silly.

Knocked that one out of the park with the glamour shots. Great video! I think you are on to something re: Gen1 + SegaCD1 being a good looking machine. Also, maybe Sega was considering a US release for this stuff - but didn't get a green light, so they're releasing their 'test run' to 'influencers' and stuff so their work isn't for naught?

Great glamour shots Coury! And you picked the best shot for the thumbnail.

Jacob Nahin - Sr. Communication Manager @ SEGA @JacobNahin Before anyone asks, these were *very* limited / a small run, and just sent to select folks. No announcements have been made about selling these in the west. We might figure out how to get a few of these into your hands though...

Whaaaa, a Genesis one and not the MD?! I've had this thing in my solaris japan cart like 5 times but never pulled the trigger.. I'll totally opt for the US version if it releases... fingers crossed.

Great glamour shots Coury! Really liked the comparision with the real deal.

There's my Sega CD/Genesis/32x OG stack I have setup right now. Surprisingly after not using any of it for 20+ years, I took it out of storage last year, hooked everything up (once I looked it up and remembered how you did it) and everything worked. At first the Sega CD was being a bit flaky, but after an hour or so of having everything powered up and running, it worked perfectly. Then I found my copy of Shining Force CD. Awesome.

You need someone to 3d print you a replica game genie to complete it.

Now you need mini cases/manuals for the two cart lol
