I'm not saying this to be pedantic, but the pandemic is still going on!! we are still DURING COVID. and it's silly to act like an ongoing mass disabling and death event (1k still dying every week JUST in the US) isn't going to continue to influence conspiracies. 1 in 5 COVID infections lead to long covid. COVID dysregulates your immune system, making it more susceptible to all kinds of diseases and illnesses. by continuing to ignore the pandemic, we're willfully ignoring a huge crisis of disability and early death. if you think people are crazy now, how do you think people will react to marked increase in stroke, heart attack, sudden death, illness and disease that we're already starting to see and will keep getting worse. idk it's just hilarious to literally acknowledge COVID is being memory holed while in the same breath acting like it's in the past.
