I love this game and am glad that I suggested you do a video on it when you were streaming. I think I had the same experience with it the first time that you did Coury. I have the PSX version, but have never played through it. I think I will do so very soon. Great little video and I do think a MLIG video on the various releases of this game would be awsome

This is pretty awesome as I'm just about 3/4th through my replay of Lunar on Sega CD. I'm similar to you in that I haven't played it in about 20 years but it mostly holds up.
The random battle encounter rate goes nuts at times, and there are so many spells that Nash and Mia get that it's hard to keep track of which one to use are the only minor quibbles I have. The humor I find really holds up and in addition has a fun sense of nostalgia to it now.
I agree that Sega CD version overall had better music. It killed me that they changed the Meribia music!

I first played Lunar when I got my Sega CD-X from a rental store closing. The game was in a bare jewel case. I had also picked out a complete copy of Popful Mail based solely on the box, and noticed that both were released by Working Designs, so I got that one too. I had no idea it would become one of my favorite games of all time.
