Script for Hope nearing completion
Added 2021-03-01 20:16:10 +0000 UTCHey everybody! Sorry I haven't checked in with you for a while and that my production has been so slow! I am getting crushed by work and life lately and it has been very difficult to find the time to work on the video. Soon things will be slowing back down a bit and I will be able to devote more time to production. HOWEVER, the script is already about 90%-95% complete. I really just need to do last edits and then I can move on to audio recording.
The thesis of the script is that a grounded hope is the only realistic perspective and it lays out the refutations of both pessimism and optimism as effective political impulses. This script has actually been sitting on the backburner since before I even wrote The State is Counter-Revolutionary, but it is a much more sophisticated essay now. It has been greatly expanded by the ideas of Ernst Bloch, Bookchin, Rocker, and Kropotkin, and even a little bit of Zinn and Deleuze.
As soon as the circumstances of my life calm down a little bit, I will do first audio recordings.
