Patron Update #3 - What's Next?

With the Dawn of the New World video finished, I can finally turn my head to greener pastures. Over the next couple of days I'll crank out the 10,000 subscriber video, but I've already been working on my next BIG video.
That video will be on Xenogears!
I'd never played it before, and it's one that I get requested often. This will be a very POSITIVE video (short of the game ending with every character dying and "Fuck You" being written on screen... which I guess is a possibility), and no doubt a longer one again. I've got a lot of notes on the game so far. I'm really enthusiastic to see it's conclusion and settle in for the rollercoaster ride of an ending I've heard about.
I've been kicking around some new production ideas for future vids, since I feel like I'm getting a little complacent with the current format. I always want ideas to evolve, and find new ways to be entertaining, so expect some TWEESTS to my current formula.
After Xenogears, I'll probably reign it in with a Majuularcade video. I have a few ideas for the next one that I'll put up to Patron poll when it's time.

I've been making my way through Xenoblade 3 and was thinking, "Man, it would be pretty sick if Majuular was a mad lad and reviewed Xenogears next". I'm starting to really think I can see the future haha. I could not be more pumped, Xeno series is one of my all time favorites. Also just to parrot everyone else, Koudelka is for sure worth looking at. A very unique game due to it's setting and characters. Even if one were to not really dig it, I'm pretty sure they'd remember it for the right reasons.

2022-08-21 02:52:38 +0000 UTCHonestly, I adore the idea of Koudelka partially because it’s simply not a run of the mill game, it’s very strange especially for that era of gaming. Nostalgia is there as well because of when I played it at a friend’s house we always got stuck, and he never really knew where he got the game in the first place. That said… I played all 3 shadow hearts when I was well into the throes of JRPGs and would consider Majuular tackling those as a massive bonus as they were superb. (Number 3 less so in my opinion. Peaked at SH2)

2022-08-19 19:07:44 +0000 UTCYeah I know next to nothing about Shadow Hearts other than it's a spiritual successor to Koudelka, but the number of people commenting + requesting I make a video about it is really surprising. If I were to do a vid on Koudelka I feel like Shadow Hearts would be a natural next step.

2022-08-19 15:40:07 +0000 UTCIt's definitely on my short list, thankfully it's a pretty short game so there's a good possibility I'll be doing a video on it in the future. My current interest randomly orbits different genres/series so it's only a matter of time before I come back to Koudelka.

On the subject of Koudelka...it's not something I'd be as interested in as the Xenogears video (or a number of other games), but would be very excited if it meant you were going on to play Shadow Hearts 1 and 2 as well.

I was so stoked when I saw a sliver of footage when you were mentioning mechanics in other games during your Chrono Cross vid and was like ‘HE KNOWS WHAT IT IS!’ Haha
