GamerFiction in 2023

Hi everyone,

Thanks for the incredible support of my patrons. I am creating this post to share my plans for the direction my Patreon will take in 2023.

First of all, I can only write three chapters a week at this time with my full-time job, but I will be posting an extra chapter at the end of each month. It will switch between my two stories, so there will be an extra chapter of Harry Potter: A Mage’s Path at the end of January.

Furthermore, I will be writing a brand-new story.

As for the story, I ask you to share your wishes in the comments, sharing your favourite games, anime or TV shows. I have some rough ideas, including two new ideas for Pokemon and Harry Potter:

A Pokemon story with Ash as the main character, who starts in the Hoenn region. The Gamer system will be more for the Pokemon's benefit, with only some utility skills for Ash.

Harry Potter: The Artisan’s Path (working title).

A story where Harry focuses on runes and crafting all sorts of things. This will have light gaming elements with no attributes. He grew up in an orphanage and will be a lot more positive. However, Dumbledore is a major arsehole.

In a week's time, I will decide which story I’m writing next, and it will probably take a month to plot an outline. Undoubtedly, you know that my current stories are written more on the fly, with only a few plot points charting their path. So I wanted to create a story with a solid outline behind it and see where it takes me.

What does this mean for the current schedule?

I see two options for implementing this:

I will reduce Pokemon: Way of Life to one chapter a week and post a chapter for all three stories weekly.

Or,

There will still be a guaranteed chapter for my two current stories per week. I will post a poll weekly so patrons can decide which of the three stories will get an update.

Additionally, I’m interested in creating an original story later in the year, but that depends on several factors.

I will probably create a Discord account at some point, but that is still up in the air. I am quite a private person and not too fond of social media. Yes, I know how hypocritical that sounds as I use it in my Pokemon story.

Final thoughts. I can't imagine it happening, but if I were to get to $2000 a month on Patreon, I would reduce my hours at work and write four chapters per week.
