So basically he just wanted to see what would happen if Human had that power? Also, is this linked to tactics?

2024-07-03 18:00:07 +0000 UTCVenat essentially is bored of eternity, where the Occuria choose what makes history. He wants to give humanity the right to choose, or free will. It’s not “evil” exactly, and ultimately, Venat does get what he wants, just with Ashe and Basch in charge rather than Vayne and Gabranth. It’s coincidental that he’s working with the Archadian Empire, why he could be considered a “villain”, but like Larsa says, Ashe essentially wants the same thing Venat is offering, just with peace rather than war. Or at least, she is led down that path thanks to Reddas, Balthier, and yes, Vaan. The problem with humanity, of course, is that there will always be evil, so with Venat having accomplished his goal, eventually, leads to the Occuria not being able to stop the Cataclysm, an event mentioned in Final Fantasy Tactics, which is why the Ivalice there is a shell of its former self, with no airships and no technology, except for what has been salvaged from the ruins. Basically, the whole world got turned into Nabudis, and only the humans survived to rebuild society. But Venat would still be proud that it’s humans who are the ones forging their own history, even if it is tragic and not as prosperous if the Occuria had remained in control.
