Thank you for replying. I followed your advice and downloaded and installed 1.12.2 Forge as one of my installations, I have also installed Minecraft Java Edition 1.12.2 as one of my installations. Clicking play on Forge 1.12.2 results in a game crashed error. Could it be that I also need an older launcher?

EVERYONE has to have the right Forge. It won't say that you have the wrong one. The one I found that works is Forge (1.12.2) 14.23.5.2854 so try that! Take care everyone!

Ok! So, you need to go into your hotbar and type in %appdata% and hit enter. Hit the folder called .minecraft, then find the folder called mods. Open that and drag the Dragonfire mod into it. Then launch Minecraft Forge 1.12.2. If it doesn't work, feel free to message me!

On a chromebook in the Linux Beta I have installed the latest version of Minecraft Java Edition, 1.16.2, and the also installed the corresponding version of Forge. After placing the .jar files for this mod in the .minecraft/mods folder and launching Minecraft in the Forge installation I receive an error message stating the mod requires and older version of Forge. I have tried to then install older versions of Forge going back 1-2 years but continue to receive the same error. Can anyone provide some direction on how to make this work?

hi for the crashing Lilcraigger it has to be forge 1.12.2 if you are pairing it up with other mods it could be one of them causing it to crash http://files.minecraftforge.net/maven/net/minecraftforge/forge/index_1.12.2.html go to this link and click installer under recommended if that does not work than i dont know

Have downloaded the recent mod, installed and uninstalled many times because it keeps crashing EVERY time. I have found that there is another version was created yesterday (on another site that may or may not be legit) but this is driving me insane. Hi, we downloaded the mod and it's running fine but the /command isn't working. I'm not sure if this is a glitch or if I'm doing something wrong. T is also not working. I did switch the LAN to allow cheats so I'm not sure what's going on but thought I'd post ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

@ShiNina Nelson, Its forge 1.12.2. Go to https://files.minecraftforge.net, click 1.12, and choose 1.12.2, then click installer. if on windows i think the mod might work for 1.12, click windows installer. Next go to files, and the one with the forge icon, click on it. Then, choose what you want to do and click ok. it should start downloading.

to download the update you just click on the link in the message above dragonfire-5.3.0.jar It should start to download unless you have a fire wall up mine asks me to keep the file or not and I say yes. Then I replace this file with the older file. Hope that helps.
