Now that the basic CPS2 architecture is in place, it is time to add more games to the core. CPS2 games could have up to 32MB of graphics ROM; for this week, the focus has been games of 8MB. These are the titles:
-Street Fighter Alpha, at last, we have the original version working on MiSTer
-CAPCOM Sports Club, a "Nintendo Wii" title in your CPS2!
-Mighty! Pang, the USA version fitted in 8MB, unlike the other regions. We get to play that one this week (in the alt folder)
-Megaman: The Power Battle, again only the 8MB version (in the alt folder)
-Megaman 2: The Power Fighters
This time I have been helped by a small pre-release group who has helped polish the core to have a smooth beta update. Thank you, team!
Annual Membership
A few months ago, I enabled the annual membership in Patreon. New subscribers often choose this option because it has a small discount. I never told current members about it; apologies about that. Former patrons can switch to an annual membership to enjoy the discount.
Next week we will be back with something not completely alien to us.

I got the "TERSELY 192kHz DAC Digital to Analog Converter with Volume Control" from Amazon https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B0819S87P2 along with a Toslink to Mini-Toslink cable https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B00T8HWUVS to connect it up to the MiSTer. the choice of cable wasn't important - i just selected someone who did prime delivery in Australia. the model i chose (linked above) with the volume control + amplifier cost about $7 more than without, but i thought it would be worth if it i wanted to use headphones. it was a cheap purchase and cleans up the audio. i found the most notable improvement on Neo Geo. works perfectly and can recommend.
