CPS development has been progressing much faster than anticipated. I have now most games working and I think I do not longer need to restrain to a single title for the beta. Some of the pending tasks before the beta are:
* Measure bus timing in PCB and compare with core
* Implement layer priority in colour mixer
* Fix ADPCM control bug (same as in Double Dragon 2)
* Add HDMI output (using analogue output now)
* Double clock frequency to avoid sprite glitches (48->96MHz)
* Fix mapper for large games (such as SF2)
* Fix ringing issue in JT51
* Fix address error problem in King of Dragons
I'd like to release the beta when I am not aware of problems or those are small. Anyway, I'll be able to release it this month. So this month's patrons will be the ones featured in the credits for the public release. I am going to re-work the credits screen for CPS as I cannot easily use the game character font as it changes location from game to game. I may go for something a bit more tasty this time. By the way, I have opened up 10 slots for the credits patron layer for this occasion.
Finally, Q-Sound games will not be included in the beta. I need to write a Q-Sound core first. So that will take sometime. Double Dragon 1 public release will be this month if I have time to prepare the files Otherwise, it will be March. By the way, March will mostly be a maintenance month working on reported bugs and issues (for all my cores).
That's all! Working on CPS is so exciting that I had problems sleeping some nights. The system is very interesting technically and the games are, well, awesome. Thank you for being there. Without you, I would have not come this far.
