I DON'T have UPFRONT CHARGING activated

And apparently, I need to explain what it means time and time again to new pledgers who think I'm stifling them...

When you decide to join my Patreon page by PLEDGING, you don't pay anything because I DON'T HAVE UPFRONT CHARGING ACTIVATED. It's a choice I made because I send links by PM (private messages here) rather than attach them to posts (which are seen by any new "pledger" who could therefore simply download the game for free and then immediately unpledge and "goodbye sir, thanks for the free game").

The only way to get processed is for a pledge to be active on the 1st of a month when Patreon says "stop the clock" and everyone's pledge AT THAT TIME AND THAT TIME ONLY  is registered and processing starts. Most people are processed on the first day, some people a few days later (bank issues?), some never (wrong credit card numbers? Scammers?...). 

So, since the only thing that matters is where your pledge stands on the 1st of every month, what you do with your pledge throughout the month makes NO DIFFERENCE. You can unpledge, repledge, up your pledge, down your pledge, as many times as you like, NOTHING HAPPENS. And then on the 1st of the following month, the same process is repeated, "stop the clock", etc.... 

Now I have a listing of where everyone's pledge on the 1st stands (although Patreon seems to have screwed up their system the last two months...) and that is what I use to send links to those who have been processed and therefore their payment went through. Even those who unpledge on the 2nd of a month will still receive links according to their tier when their pledge was processed on the 1st, it doesn't matter to me that they've left (although I question why anyone would leave on the 2nd of a month instead of unpledging near the end, but whatever).

And if I have nothing to offer in any given month (no update), I "pause" my Patreon page and NOBODY GETS CHARGED THAT MONTH.  So I definitely do not stifle anyone.
