2021-10-05 19:48:26 +0000 UTCHo boy, I can feel myself getting totally galaxy/soup brain in the next few videos on this... our seeming never ending desire for distraction/dopamine is something I have a hard time wrapping my mind around. I always wonder if we were gossiping about one another from the beginning of time. How many of the carvings in the Pyramids are actually just people writing about the misgivings of others? How many of our holy books are just people telling stories of others they felt were doing wrong? Why do we get such a deep feeling of connection to others through gossiping with them? I recently listened to a 'knowing better' video on gossip and how it is literally something we NEED to develop true and tight social bonds. And with how popular drama entertainment is - reality and fiction - we must be getting some serious chemical reward... but to what end? Excited for the rest of your thoughts, as always!
