Chapter 2 polls results

Overview:

It’s time to look at chapter 2 poll results. Once again, one should be careful interpreting too much from a sample of just around 30-40 votes. But it’s always fun to see what are your favorite choices, and a good 1st indication if there are some problems to solve.

Favorite girls:

Most of what was seen here was, in my opinion, expected. Since Emma and Deb are the only ones with sex scenes, it’s no particular surprise that they have the most votes. Using the same logic, having Lea in third place is also expected, since she has some lewd content, even if not a full sex scene.

From the remaining girls, Jen being the most popular and Bri and Olivia the least ones was also expected given their screen time. While Jen already has a more developed personality and spent way more time with the MC, Bri and Olivia characters still need more time to be more developed.

The biggest surprise, at least for me, was Kim having as many votes as Jen, instead of being in the least voted group together with Bri and Olivia. Kim must be the character with least amount of screen time, and is also in a relationship, two things that I thought might decrease a character's popularity. I’m not quite sure why she is becoming relatively well liked from the beginning. Might be her Asian appearance, or her attitude that’s quite different from the other girls, or something else. Either way, this is an interesting result. It’s because of curious findings like this that I find these polls valuable info for me.

Rejection options:

All lewd scenes in the game have an option where the MC can choose not to participate in them. This can be because the player is not into that kink, does not like the girl, does not like the lewd options for plot reasons, or even simply doesn’t want to spend personality points buying the required skills. So far, these options were chosen by relatively few players (from 7% to 17%), which I think I like. It means that there hasn’t yet been any lewd scene in the game that isn’t particularly disliked by the majority of the players.

Once the game develops and more kinky scenes are introduced, I suspect that this percentage might rise. But that’s okay. Scenes requiring vanilla skills will probably be seen and enjoyed by more players. While scenes that require more hardcore skills and involve more specific kink niches will probably be chosen by a fewer percentage of players. I think that’s the expected outcome, but that’s to be found out in future polls.

Manly vs Sensitive lewd scenes:

Once again, I’m happy to see that these choices are having a very close distribution. While in Emma's lewd choice from chapter 1, the manly choice is winning by a little margin (51% to 41%), in chapter 2 the sensitive version of the Deb scene is actually ahead, but also by very little (48% to 40%). Chapter 1 chess challenge with Emma also had a small difference between the two outcomes (49% to 41% in favor of winning the challenge, which was the manly outcome).

This means that’s a quite even distribution between manly and sensitive players, which is great news because this game will continue to have similar amount of content for both styles of players. Let’s hope that this kind of distribution keeps being the norm.

The choice of telling or not Pete what you saw regarding Kim is more complicated and, like the comments on that post show, might not have been very clear if it should even be a Sensitive/Manly choice. Because of this complication, and because this choice was purely plot driven, I’ll not read too much into this.
