Reducing Nikolao TP to 3%
Added 2021-04-13 14:30:20 +0000 UTCI'm reducing TP of Nikolao to 3% and adding a TTP of 0.6% Expected effects of this change:
- it will help close deals quicker
- reduces the changes of catching a deal that takes too long to close
- the main downside is that it will certainly have an impact reducing our monthly P/L from this bot
The author recommends 2,3, up to 5. Mentioning that 5% can cause some bad deals.
We are using 30 max active deals so maybe having a few red deals requiring manual closing is a decent price to pay if you are not willing to compromise the profits we are currently seeing with 5% TP.
Personally I'm going to reduce it to 3% as I don't have much time to deal with manual tasks and I do appreciate some extra time free...
If you want to reduce the chances of manual work/analysis and don't mind to punish the profits, reduce the TP to 1% or 2%
Bonus: There are some other "rare" bot strategies that behave exactly the opposite, you may drop the TP % to a very small number and your strategy might actually become even more profitable! This always depends on the actual strategy. So it's not a law that applies always, but most of the time.
