More specifically, there are Dwarfs and there are DERIVATIVE Dwarfs, dwarfs whose sculptor-parent got lazy or sloppy and part of their workmanship is obviously copied or uninspired in some way, leading dwarfs to be dismissive of them or flat out purposefully ignore them. Non-dwarfs, of course, fail to see the difference between the two. :P

(constructed instead of born idea-) When they die, they kinda solidify into natural statues, and then that material is often used when creating new duergar. So it acts kinda like passing down abilities and knowledge to the new generation? And then from conflicts and wars, they end up with whole cave systems filled with their ‘death statues’, making very nice, slightly creepy places ✨ But yeah!! Absolutely love what you’ve done with these- the variations in resource looks so pretty, and it’s just such a cool idea honestly? 👀👄👀 (Just love me some dwarves tbh)
