Krismas Update

Howdy! Merry Kris-mas and Happy Holidays. Got some quick updates and changes to go over, as well as uh... cookies? (If Covid weren't a thing I would absolutely be shipping these out as delicious surprise rewards).

As many of you know, this is my first time making a Patreon, and this month (December) is my first time actually having access to the Benefits tracker feature. As such, I'm starting to realize that some of the rewards are kinda of vague and confusing. In particular the reward "Chat Community."

Patreon itself doesn't have any kind of guidelines or specifications on what that... is? I just sort of assumed that was "ability to comment on Patreon posts," but the fact that it has built in tracking makes me think it might be something else? Attempts to learn more via Google have failed me.

I don't want to have vague-unspecified rewards listed so I'm going to remove it from Heart* Tier to reduce confusion*. Functionally nothing will change, this is basically just a book-keeping change.

That said, if you backed at a Tier specifically for the "Chat Community" reward and are disappointed, reach out to me and I'll see if we can find a way to fix that. I don't want anyone to feel cheated or scammed, I just also don't want weird vague reward listed that I don't know how to fulfill so, better to fix it now while I'm still small.



I wish I had some news regarding the "Youtube demonetization" situation but, I reapplied November 26th and still haven't heard back. The page says decisions are, "typically within a month," so if this hasn't resolved by January I'm going to start moving into Spamton-strats and make a bunch of noise until it gets addressed. When I was denied it took less than a week so, here's hoping this is just some Holiday-related slowdown.

The next video is fully researched and scripted, and is now in the Editing phase. The main thing slowing it down is real-life responsibilities. I met my cousins for the first time over the Holidays and have several appointments with my new doctors (now that I'm moved in) so I expect to lose a few days to social obligation and impending appointments/bureaucracy.

Most that stuff should resolve sometime in the next week so at slowest I'd say, "new video in a couple of weeks."



Okay there's the boring stuff done, now... Holidays! I made a lovely balloon Jevil, some Undertale/Deltarune themed cookies of... wildly varying quality as I learned how to frost things and/or ran out of frosting, and showed my Southern-bound cousins how to make a Snowman! (It's a Snow Lesser Dog). Below is a ZIP folder containing more images of cookies and the Jevil balloon and such.


TLDR: Removing 'chat community' from reward list due to vagueness, no news on demonetization, video is going well and should be up within a few weeks.
