Character Concept Art - Derik
Added 2019-03-24 20:10:01 +0000 UTCWhen working on characters, I like to do a page headshot sketches to get a sense of how the character emotes and moves. It helps me understand how to draw them, and it gets me used to how their face moves with certain expressions.
This is Derik! I won't say too much about him, but he'll be showing up in the comic eventually. He's honestly one of my favorites to draw.
This was sketched with ballpoint pen, inked with a refillable ink pen (sorry, i don't know the brand), and the grey was done with a mixture of ink and water in a brush pen.
