March Ramble Voting

Time to choose a (good) topic!

As always, you may choose as many options as you like*; the highest total number of votes wins.

*For iphone users, there's a bug on multiple-choice voting. The workaround is to vote for one option, force quit the app, then come back and vote for the other option(s). People have found it retains multiple votes when you do it this way

The idea is the poll and the ramble come out the same month, but it seems due to factors perhaps related to her main channel project(s) and her personal life, Jenny has been falling a little behind schedule the past few months with the patreon vids! I wouldn't worry about it too much - seems like she's got a lot going on and still cares greatly about making sure patrons get the content they pay for so I'm sure it'll all even out eventually. The rambles do seem to have become higher-effort in the past couple years, so I bet they're taking longer to get out than when they were originally conceived.

New here…. So this March poll is voting for the April ramble essentially? Just still figuring out how this works, thanks 😄

Sounds like you’re going through it. Do you have a therapist who specializes in OCD?

I hope the disney one takes it. Of course whatever's most popular should win, and all of them are fun options, but man could I use a video that doesn't have massive amounts of second-hand embarrassment. Videos like the pokemon one, church of the rock, some of the evermore content, even some of the more awkward star wars hotel stuff just have a lot of... cringe, I guess? I kind of hate that word, but I think that's it. I actually found it kind of painful to wade through the pokemon video until it was talking about props and not showing clips from the show. And I don't find those videos rewatchable at all (other than the original evermore video, I just scrub through certain parts). Idk. That's probably just a me thing, other people seem to be totally into it, I just can't handle that stuff very well. Reminds me of being mocked or doing horrifically embarrassing stuff myself in public and then wanting to die of shame later, and I tend to end up reflecting more on my own failings more than enjoying the video. Sorry for the long rant, I don't feel as strongly about this as the word count would suggest lol.

She doesn't usually disclose a vote close date/time

Cowboy Jaz Luo

What day/time did the vote close?

Really hoping that church of the rock 2024 gets covered because I forgot to watch it while it

for fellow iPhone users, it's easier to open Patreon in Safari instead of trying to get the app to work

Come on eclectic music taste!

That’s just for the Pardners tier ($25/month) - their suggestions are “collected via group message anytime after the 7th of the month”, so if you just joined that tier you’ll get a chance after April 7

Someone at the church must really love the Kenneth Branagh Poirot movies. I know the Orient Express one was in 2017 and two more have come out since then, but I can kinda get why they picked it anyway… Orient Express is the most famous title and I’m sure the easiest to adapt as a play

I’m a new Patreon patron- are we able request videos? If so, as someone also going through a Pokémon nostalgia trip, I’d love Jenny to watch her favorite anime episodes and give her thoughts!

I know there’s a lot of “hate” in the comments for the Easter play (not really, everyone is being super respectful and voicing their opinions in a very nice way) but I must, must, MUST see how the church makes an Easter play out of one of my favorite whodunnits. What a bizarre choice years past its relevancy.

the urban explorer videos would be amazing

I also would prefer that the Church Play vids not become an annual tradition; I love the original vid but we got that and one bonus already, and it doesn't feel like there'd be enough legs to the humor/curiosity of it to cover everything they do every time. Plus that just means there's 1/12th less variety in what type of rambles we get. Don't want to cast a damper since from the votes it seems like a lot of patrons are on board, but just since a couple other people have had similar comments that's my two cents
