Ramble: Jenny reviews her entire plush collection in the style of a Hallmark tutorial video

the spidey thing reminded me of my little nephew's stuffed tiger, Beany. Beany is a very generic bipedal stuffed tiger with huge plastic eyes and a weighted butt. After he bonded with it, my sister bought two backups, in case it was lost. Eventually, one is lost, and right before bed I am given the task of handing over this pristeen Beany who my nephew is instantly suspicious of. I manage to convince him that mommy washed him, all is well. The OG is eventually found and hidden (and the hiding spot is immediately forgotten), but then my nephew finds the second backup Beany and then for months he requires two Beanies at all times, really ballooning the problem. Eventually they manage to bargain him down to one, but when he's cranky at bedtime he'll start demanding more and more Beanies. Last time I visited he sobbed about how he wanted four Beanies, how he *needed* four Beanies lol. I'm hoping as he learns more numbers he'll require even more, could be fun. He seems to conceptualize each of these stuffed tigers as the same root entity, which I think is neat. PS: the rats thing is so rough. My mom, too, went against my specific instructions and stored a plush that was very important to me in the attic and it was eaten by rats. She was not as apologetic as she should have been -_-

That bit about using cardboard tubes to make toys made me remember that me and my siblings would colour toilet paper tubes with felt tips to make toys of our favourite Pokémon because we didn’t have any of the toys. My two favourite were Pachirisu and Shaymin and both were flimsy

My sister and I also staked claims on different species, the most fervent ones being that I got kangaroos and she got koalas, and I got lions, and she got tigers. Your DIY plush is wicked cool, I love the Tails and Tikal plush, and My Melody Amy is so amazing!

Why would your dad lie about knowing you and your sister wanted a Knuckles plush so badly? It just sounds like he made you both frustrated when he could've told the truth of "I looked everywhere but couldn't find one" and he would come off a LOT better.

I love a good cheap coveted plush find, it’s not that surprising since I’m in Australia but I did find one of the jumbo ponies from the Myer collection for $50 once which was awesome. In terms of the prototype, I haven’t seen Star Catcher in any of my local groups or eBay/gumtree ect, but the kimono prototype did go up for expressions of interest a few months ago, it was crazy to see one of the jumbo ponies in such good condition and one I hadn’t seen before. Though, trying to get them shipped over from different states is hard enough let alone shipping them internationally, but I wish you luck none the less!! Please drop the star catcher photo on Twitter if you see this, as well as any blog posts discussing this theft, cus that seems like a really cool aspect of pony collecting lore!!
