Fairuza Balk was the only American at a British all girl school for witches, and the *problem child* (what were they trying to say??? Haha). Plus the House Mother from the Facts of Life show had an evil twin witch sister with a southern-American accent. That doesn’t even make sense! But who cares? It’s a fun time! Why were a bunch of young girls all fawning over Tim Curry? They must have been fans of Rocky Horror Show and Clue I guess. Nothin wrong with that! It’s kind of the low-key best part of the movie

My favorite is the 1986 Fairuza Balk version (before she was Dorothy, before The Craft, before ...Waterboy... witch girl!) with special guest star Tim Curry. Anything can happen on Halloween! Like things turning into OTHER THINGS. That’s most of what Disney magic entails- transmogrification. I’d just like to say JK Rowling ripped off Jill Murphy’s books about all-girl’s witch school so bad, it’s not even funny. Guess who laughed all the way to the bank? and now probably owns all her local banks...
