Jenny Nicholson
2018-09-09 03:57:46 +0000 UTCIs this ramble getting posted this weekend?
Eric MacMillan
2018-09-09 02:42:09 +0000 UTC399 votes (as of this comment)... impressive!
2018-09-01 10:15:56 +0000 UTCProblematic horror. The genre is ripe for complaints, so many complaints.
2018-08-31 13:14:55 +0000 UTCEscape From Tomorrow?
Will Seamon
2018-08-28 03:18:23 +0000 UTCCool. Trying to remember the last time Jenny covered a horror movie. Was it It?
Blue Corn
2018-08-26 20:14:24 +0000 UTCA good guess, but not hardly! Obviously, for Kylo Ren, the producers would have gone to the ultimate go-to late-90s-to-mid-2000s emotionally unstable box-office megadraw.... Adam Sandler
Steve Ray
2018-08-26 05:43:56 +0000 UTCBesides, we all know that if the sequel trilogy came out in 1999, they'd have Jennifer Aniston playing Rey and Drew Carey as Kylo Ren.
Tom Bowling
2018-08-26 00:01:09 +0000 UTCI'm just keeping my head down and hoping the dark times pass quickly.
Tom Bowling
2018-08-25 11:09:34 +0000 UTCWho would have thought Immanuel Kant would be more popular than Star Wars? I'm not looking forward to the fan reaction to the Rian Johnson directed biopic.
JK
2018-08-25 10:02:56 +0000 UTCWouldn't we have to stay up until 3:30 a.m. Pacific on a Thursday to participate? And would it take the form of an unlisted YouTube Livestream or a Twitch or what?
Steve Ray
2018-08-23 03:05:01 +0000 UTCSince we've already had the horse Ramble, your suggestion sounds A-OK.
Steve Ray
2018-08-23 02:51:43 +0000 UTCHow many demons can be banished to a pin-sized section of Hell?
Steve Ray
2018-08-23 02:49:08 +0000 UTCI've heard that Kant's Critique really isn't what it appears to be.
Steve Ray
2018-08-23 02:45:13 +0000 UTCTechinically, plushes are also an Animal Topic, and the Coalition will surely support those in a runoff, but per the original covenant, we endorse Disney Sidekicks in Round One.
Steve Ray
2018-08-23 02:42:18 +0000 UTCYou’d think more women would enjoy a satire about the futility of toxic masculinity. I voted plush stories. I want to hear how the other plush are adapting under the Mega-Porg regime.
T. Fazekas
2018-08-23 00:48:02 +0000 UTCI hope one of her favorites is Predator. I've yet to find a lady who likes that movie.
Tom Bowling
2018-08-22 22:52:14 +0000 UTC*Swirls wine glass* I stand behind Jenny's favorite horror movies.
2018-08-22 21:08:27 +0000 UTCMan I've been voting for that star wars topic every time. And it never happens. We need a coalition on that one
Jane McIntyre
2018-08-22 15:23:47 +0000 UTCRemember that old nursery rhyme? "A topic / Anthropic / 's a hot pick / to drop kick!!! "Exercise your adorable franchise and VOTE for Animal Topics!"
Steve Ray
2018-08-22 11:40:10 +0000 UTCPlushes can be the Winning Animal Topic for November.
Steve Ray
2018-08-22 11:31:17 +0000 UTCAren't horror movies supposed to explore problematic themes and ideas, which is what makes them scary? I'd think that "problematicity" is a difficult thing to measure in most circumstances, but it will be as elusive as a neutrino while talking fright flicks.
Steve Ray
2018-08-22 11:19:34 +0000 UTCHear, hear! Science tells us that Humanity's power for Abstract Thought is what truly keeps us "separate" from regular Animals. And what happened *last month*? We all nearly Ramble-voted for Loneliness, and we all nearly fell to ruin! "Loneliness" is a very Abstract Thought, much like "Critique" and "Pure Reason" -- and thus, very HUMAN :/ This month, let's stick to the *original* vision of the Animal Topics Coalition, and *stay* united behind Top 10 AND Bottom 5 Animal Sidekicks.
Steve Ray
2018-08-22 11:06:16 +0000 UTCPerhaps Jenny *hasn't* already read said Critique, and she'll have to read it on the bus home the night the Ramble is due.
Steve Ray
2018-08-22 10:45:41 +0000 UTCHey sorry if I'm missing what your saying here but you know you can change your vote any time right? Just click the option you want, even if you have already voted.
Eric MacMillan
2018-08-22 02:16:57 +0000 UTCJenny's read the Critique of Pure Reason? whoa
David Arceneaux
2018-08-22 01:47:04 +0000 UTCHow much do I need to up my Patreon to get a “hint” as to how the voting is going before I cast? It’s too much pressure! I know what I want but I don’t want to waste my vote if something else I like is close. I guess this is why a third party system wouldn’t work :)
T. Fazekas
2018-08-22 01:35:49 +0000 UTCAll of my Jenny headcanon is her riding Rainbow Dash through a dark ride, wielding a lightsaber . *Record Scratch* "Okay, so I bet you're wondering how I got myself into this situation..".
2018-08-21 23:50:58 +0000 UTCI was kind of thinking that too.
Tom Bowling
2018-08-21 23:41:47 +0000 UTCIs anyone going to get into some Jenny fan fiction on this ballot? Because if you do, I've got a good one where she takes down a Russian spy ring and single-handedly vanquishes the Vampire Queen of Murmansk. I call it, "Jenny Visits the Pet Shop." Oh, she also buys a goldfish in the story.
Tom Bowling
2018-08-21 23:37:18 +0000 UTCthere’s so many good ones this month 😮 I’m about dying to see some more of your plushes but a Q&A would be so fun.
Montana
2018-08-21 22:10:22 +0000 UTCDamn, these are good choices.
Stephen Notley
2018-08-21 21:38:02 +0000 UTCIm really here for some willy wonka hot takes.
Torie Berke
2018-08-21 19:05:23 +0000 UTCi studied kant in philosophy so if it wins i can send you my notes if you're stuck (however i would've personally suggested descartes' meditations)
Bethany Gemmell
2018-08-21 18:06:30 +0000 UTCHorror movie seems like a fun idea for October.. hmm lots of nice picks this month. Good job, guys!
Brianna Ogas
2018-08-21 17:42:03 +0000 UTCYou know, at some point we're going to have to start feeling pity for the Star Wars topic.
Bill Holt
2018-08-21 17:40:22 +0000 UTCI always thought all four of the grandparents were on the run from the law and just hiding out.
Tom Bowling
2018-08-21 14:48:04 +0000 UTCI just wanted to see it up there. I didn’t think anyone would vote for it. I didn’t.
Joshua Crowther
2018-08-21 13:55:14 +0000 UTCA no-lose voting fest!
Dundough Breadbox
2018-08-21 13:45:50 +0000 UTCI want to hear about Willy Wonka because I really want Jenny's take on Uncle Joe. Why didn't he ever get up an get a job?
Tony LMFAO
2018-08-21 13:38:21 +0000 UTCVoted for Kant because I'm a fan of his ethics system and it's such a unique topic, but I hope it's on there because Jenny expressed an interest in the topic at some point. If that was just a troll nomination from someone trying to throw Jenny a weird curveball, that would be pretty shitty of that patron.
Daniel Anderson
2018-08-21 13:00:18 +0000 UTCAll of the above
Daniel Folk
2018-08-21 12:19:16 +0000 UTCWill the Kant video include the wearing of a cork hat?
JK
2018-08-21 10:43:59 +0000 UTCAs someone who takes a lot of mockery for calling The Creature From the Black Lagoon his favorite horror movie, I'd be interested to hear what Jenny likes.
Tom Bowling
2018-08-21 08:52:52 +0000 UTCplush show & tell sounds like the cutest video ever so i am 100% behind it
Sky Sydney
2018-08-21 04:51:00 +0000 UTCIf you have a smart phone you can also get notifications via the app.
The BabaDuck
2018-08-21 04:31:15 +0000 UTCHow many of us are going to get banned for our angry, controversial takes on noumenon vs. phenomenon?
Bill Holt
2018-08-21 04:25:53 +0000 UTCI didnt get the email for submitting ramble options! Jenny help!
Johnny G
2018-08-21 04:25:27 +0000 UTCLove horror movies and can’t wait for Jenny to share her favourite ones!! p.s. As a philosophy student I was shocked by the option of Kant and had to blink my eyes a few times to check if I was in a lucid dream...
Hannah Q.
2018-08-21 04:24:25 +0000 UTCIt’s great to see Patrons getting into the Halloween spirit a little early with the horror movie topics. My vote goes towards “Horror movies Jenny likes” since I think the rambles are best when it’s something she actually enjoys. Bad things are what the rest of her videos are for.
The BabaDuck
2018-08-21 04:03:42 +0000 UTCPersonally, I voted for Problematic 2008-10 becuase I love the remake of Sorority Row and want someone to talk about it. I think its less problematic in the fact it takes out the bad representation of Disability and just crafts a better story with the same rough Idea and just like Audrina Patridge in the film.
Joseph Leonard
2018-08-21 03:37:45 +0000 UTCHonestly anyone of these would be great
2018-08-21 03:23:44 +0000 UTCThis is supposed to be an entertainment channel but you keep making learn interesting things! What gives? You some kinda... secret teacher? I’m onto you. I see you, Jenny Nicholson.
Abbygale Mertes
2018-08-21 03:16:21 +0000 UTCYou’re my favorite part of the credits crawl, even more than my own name.
Abbygale Mertes
2018-08-21 03:14:34 +0000 UTCProblematic Horror Movies because your script doctor videos are so good, but also Kant's 'Critique..' because everyone needs a break from the sci-fi fantasy world, and I would like to hear your opinion on metaphysics!
Adam Drayer
2018-08-21 03:08:55 +0000 UTCTough choice between Kant's Critique of Pure Reason and stuffy buddies show and tell.
¹¡íÁ·¥úGáB½5@±t3
2018-08-21 03:02:33 +0000 UTCI'm dead inside and horror movies help me feel so I'm looking for some suggestions.
Sarah Matthews
2018-08-21 02:55:51 +0000 UTCKant's critique of pure reason would be an amazing video. It's a shame so few agree.
2018-08-21 02:50:11 +0000 UTCA Q&A! Ooo. Still went with Star Wars tho.
Chris Dearing
2018-08-21 02:47:21 +0000 UTCLove love love the 2 Horror options this time!
2018-08-21 02:45:35 +0000 UTCGuys, I need to have Jenny, in the middle of the video, debate with herself if Sebastian is an animal sidekick or not.
Joel Eblin
2018-08-21 02:43:44 +0000 UTCOooh, a possible Q&A. That would be awesome. Fast paced. So many topics. Hope that wins.
Bill Lehecka
2018-08-21 02:40:12 +0000 UTCThis was hard, because all of them.
Freya Northman
