2018!

Happy new year to all my Patreon peeps new and old.

This update may be a little longer than others but fans of SGR should defo bear with me.

So firstly before I get into whats coming up lets talk about yesteryear... 2017! DAAAAAAMN SUUUUN, What a year it has been! My target was 50K Subs and 100 Patreons and I DID IT!!! :) 

I Started the year on 27.5K Subs / 46 Patreons and I am now on 54.7K Subs / 111 Patreons :) I would class that as a success!

Seriously I cannot thank you guys more, 2017 had some serious ups and downs on YouTube and personally and your support is easily the main flag pole that is keeping everything together! THANK YOU SO SO SO MUCH

Right let's talk about 2018!

To the untrained eye... not a lot will change! I am still planning on releasing (on average) a couple of Complete History videos each month as well as the odd Random History video, perhaps one a month.

I would like to try and do a few more Kick-Scammer videos... perhaps one a month? These videos bring an insane amount of traffic to my channel and I would really like to try and mix up the formula every so often, otherwise its just another 5 times 1,000's of people got screwed video on repeat.

One example of this is that I am trying to get an interview with a guy that has spent $15,000+ on board game projects before coming to the realization that the whole thing was a waste of money!?!? Sadly communication has fully fallen down, so who knows?

Whenever possible I will try and get a few of my usual midweek smaller videos up too like Record Unboxings, QnAs, Tech Reviews, Slope & Larry Reviews etc. The plan is to meet up with Larry every month or so :)

And finally... STREAMING! I have been doing this on average once a week and, will continue to AT LEAST do one stream a month! I am very new to the whole streaming thing still and will likely get that "dual stream" thing going on where I can stream to twitch at the same time!

There will be a few streams too where I plan to get other people involved, perhaps that will just be a 2 player online game with another Tuber. But in some cases I would really like to get developers involved! I have had a few of them reach out to me after watching videos that I created on the games that they made and have some seriously sexy EXCLUSIVE stuff to share when the time is right.

I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH... THESE ARE FOR YOUR EYES ONLY AND ARE NOT TO BE SHARED OUTSIDE OF THIS PATREON!

Here is a good example, a never before seen image from an unreleased pitch of ZOMBIES ATE MY NEIGHBORS 2!

I have also been talking to the developer of Crash Twinsanity about the crazy development process of that game... again never before seen...

Right, let's talk about you guys.

Whenever possible I will continue to update you all on what I am doing and what I am working on as and when the time is right. Sometimes videos I say that are in the works end up not coming out for a couple of months after the initial release date... that's just the way it is! 

I am such a frantic content creator that sometimes I quickly decide to do something else for a number of reasons and then revisit an old project ages later :P

Perhaps when I take this whole thing full time then I will be able to be a lot more organised, but for now chaotic seems to be working for me, so I'm gonna keep at it :P

As usual the best place to find out what I am working on is in the discord chat. I highly suggest you all make an effort to join in as its great fun. and every month we run competitions that result in you choosing games for me to lets play or videos you want me to commentate on. Which I can confirm will feature the voice talents of both Nostalgia Nerd & Wrestling With Gaming :)

I plan to do this update along with the December QnA and I want to record that at somepoint this week so please IF YOU HAVE NOT YET FILLED IN YOUR QUESTIONS CLICK HERE TO DO SO | DEADLINE IS WEDNESDAY 

Other than this you will defo see at LEAST 1 more Complete History! Not 100% sure what it will be yet but you can be damn sure that it will be a widely unknown franchise. Basically don't think of stuff like Metroid, think of stuff like Horace and your on the right track.

I would like to possibly do another Kick-Scammer too

I have a huge Vinyl collection coming in from Brave Wave which will result in 4-5 individual videos (all probably midweek)

I have also been given a Retro Freak from FunStock who have asked me to review it, Just waiting on a few imported games to hurry up and get delivered before I really do put it through its paces .

I am now one release away (and its on its way) to completing my Play-Asia (eastasiasoft) collection and want to sit down with Larry and have a (midweek) discussion about the games and why I prefer the business model to Limited Run Games

Other than this I am also working on a "DLC FOR THE SNES" video but I can't say much more about that until I get more stuff from japan for it. #WatchThisSpace

And finally I am being interview by Retro Hour Podcast in about a week where we will no doubt be discussing the fact that Larry Bundy Jr, Kim Justice, Nostalgia Nerd and Me will all be on a bloody QnA panel in mid February for Play Blackpool. How frikkin cool is that! :D
