Mega64 Vault: Nintendo Lore Coping Hotline Behind The Scenes (2025)
Added 2025-07-14 01:03:23 +0000 UTCOn the eve of Donkey Kong Bananza's release (and leading up to a panel at Anime Expo in Los Angeles), the Mega64 crew felt like it was time to do a video on the constant debate over Nintendo game lore. This had two big technical hurdles to overcome: 1. Our main camera completely died on us and 2. The opening really needed a hole punched in the wall. The latter was solved in an hour by Garrett and a piece of drywall from Home Depot. The former was worked around by shooting with DSLR cameras from around the studio (some used for our podcast). Did you notice a different look? Regardless, you'll definitely notice the final scene of this piece featuring an uncut improvised moment that happened when nobody said "Cut."
