2025-03-26 02:49:23 +0000 UTCThis is a month ago, so no idea if they’ll see this but they didn’t mention and I thought this was cool: Meat Loaf played Eddie in the original stage show, and since Dr. Scott is his uncle, he also played him and just put glasses and a beard on. In the movie, Dr. Scott just speak-sings in his song, but Meat Loaf full belts that song and I love it more, you can hear it on the cast recording. Whenever I see the play, I always hope they do the double up cause I think it’s funny

I think he would add a much needed different perspective as far as movie choices go — nothing against Rocco or Shawn’s movie taste, they like great stuff and movie club is still great! But when Derrick was on the show, I liked that he brought a wildcard element to it genre wise and would bring Rocco and Shawn out of their comfort zones and into darker/weirder fare. I think Garrett could bring the same thing (tho I’d also love to see Derrick hop back on the show every now and then, even just as an occasional guest movie pick like with dream scenario)

I've also seen the stage show (The Rocky Horror Show) multiple times, and the audience "script" is to a level where it's almost like a pantomime to amount the actors respond back. Great movie, great episode!

I saw it for the first time at an Alamo Drafthouse before Covid and felt like such a dud thinking "I just want to watch the movie!" as all these actors were running around and toast was flying over my head
